Chairs
Chairs resemble living beings more than any other piece of furniture.
They have four legs, a whither and they carry us on their shapely backs like horses do.
You have a thing for them; they are not so easily tossed aside as sofas or fridges.
Chairs remind us of people. They are almost like people.
Compared to other paper collages the “Chairs” series is the most tactile. The edges themselves were just torn rather than being cut with instruments, or they are simply left untouched after the Asian master molded them.
