The idea and name of the map belongs to Ilya Merenzon, then editor-in-chief of the New York-based magazine Russia! The map is released in two versions: a square one ordered by the magazine and an author's one, in full sheet. In the author's version shown here, the Kremlin and Red Square are depicted in large detail in the lower part.
